I am Edgaras Vaškaitis, the founder and developer of Active Trips; born and raised in Šilutė, I have long made my home in Klaipėda. I am a true native of the historic Klaipėda region—German by heritage, yet Lithuanian at heart. My certifications attest to my qualifications as a nature guide and tour leader.
Tourism is my calling, and the degrees I hold—a Bachelor’s in Recreation and Tourism and a Master’s in Recreation and Tourism Management—confirm my expertise in the field. For nearly two decades, I have also worked at higher education institutions in Klaipėda, enjoying the opportunity to share my knowledge with students while continuously updating my own expertise. I stand firmly on two pillars: the provision of tourism services and expert activity in the tourism sector grounded in the latest knowledge. I have accumulated extensive experience—spanning over 150 events—in leading, organizing, and coordinating tours, hikes, expeditions, camps, and other active leisure activities.
I serve on the board of “Travel ID” (an association for independent tourism professionals), am a member of the Lithuanian Cyclists’ Community, and hold the rank of “Copper Hiker” with the Lithuanian Hiking Association.

MINDAUGAS
His friends would describe him first and foremost as a passionate traveler who embraces an active, fulfilling lifestyle and is always seeking new horizons, challenges, and experiences. Mindaugas is proud of his Samogitian roots and is a true patriot of Lithuania, with a deep love and respect for its local culture, history, and people. Having graduated with a degree in Tourism Management, he has built a successful career in the tourism industry, working as a tour guide and tour leader throughout the Baltic States.
GODA
Goda is an outdoor enthusiast who loves sharing her knowledge and passion for travel with others. Cycling and kayaking are her favorite ways to explore, but she is always eager to try something new. Ever since childhood, Goda dreamed of becoming a tour guide. She turned that dream into reality by completing both tour guide and nature guide training courses. Combining her love for nature, adventure, and people, Goda has found her passion in leading active, engaging excursions. Today, she continues to inspire others to explore, discover, and experience the world in new ways.
TOMAS
An experienced scout who feels right at home around a winter campfire or sleeping in a tent on a freezing night. Tomas is also a passionate fan of kayaking and cycling adventures. Legend has it that his captivating stories and guitar songs turn an ordinary evening around the campfire into an unforgettable experience. Friendly, outgoing, and always ready for a good conversation, Tomas easily connects with people of all ages, from the youngest adventurers to the young at heart.
SIGITA
A true Samogitian at heart and deeply proud of her roots, Sigita always has a smile on her face and a great sense of humor. With her charming Samogitian dialect, she brings the fascinating stories and legends of Samogitia to life.Her experience in scouting and her work as a teacher have shaped her into a compassionate, strong-minded, and adventurous person with a deep love and respect for nature.These qualities perfectly reflect the spirit and values of Active Trips, making every event and experience with Sigita truly special and unforgettable.
DARIUS
The team's powerhouse and a sergeant in the Lithuanian Navy. Always ready for new challenges, he is passionate about outdoor activities and determined to achieve his goals. When it comes to paddling, he goes all the way. When it comes to hiking, he never gives up until the finish line! With a perfect balance of humor and determination, he is an invaluable team member, especially during challenging events and adventures. He knows exactly when to offer encouragement to those feeling tired and when to lend a helping hand to those who need it most.
DAIVA
Daiva creates and leads fun, interactive, and unconventional tours that bring history and culture to life. Her goal is to inspire curiosity, spark an interest in history and cultural heritage, and encourage people to discover, love, and appreciate their homeland. Daiva is such a captivating storyteller that you will find yourself completely immersed in her stories, almost as if you were part of them. She leads engaging tours for both children and adults, and also shares her knowledge and experience with students, teaching them the art of guiding.
VIDŪNAS
Sports, travel, and photography – three passions that perfectly describe Vidūnas. Add enthusiasm and dedication to the mix, and you have a true picture of this valued team member. A qualified sports educator, Vidūnas has a passion for travel, while photography is both his profession and a way of life. Friendly, outgoing, and easy to connect with, he loves sharing his knowledge and experience with children and young people, inspiring them to stay active, explore the world, and discover new interests.
INGA
Inga has been involved in the tourism industry since an early age, developing a strong foundation in both the theoretical and practical aspects of tourism. As an experienced tour leader, she brings professionalism, enthusiasm, and extensive destination knowledge to every journey. She specializes in leading groups throughout Lithuania and the Baltic States, ensuring engaging, well-organized, and memorable travel experiences. With a particular passion for active tourism, Inga enjoys exploring destinations on foot and by bicycle. More recently, she has also embraced kayaking, further expanding her experience in outdoor adventure tourism.

Whether offering recommendations, planning itineraries, guiding visitors, or sharing fascinating local stories, she is always happy to help others discover the region.
