Examples of provided expert services
Establishment of the Priority Bicycle Route Network in the Klaipėda Region. This involved a review of existing bicycle routes and their installation criteria on an international and national scale. The team also synthesized and clarified Lithuania’s strategic documents regulating the development of bicycle routes. They conducted a review of territorial planning documents in the Klaipėda region and analyzed the current situation. Based on the results, they identified issues and risks related to the development of bicycle route infrastructure and provided recommendations for further actions. Finally, they created a priority bicycle route network for the Klaipėda region, including implementation stages, which were incorporated into the Klaipėda region’s specialization strategy until 2030.
Assessment of Applications for the Sports Support Fund. The goal of the Sports Support Fund is to increase the physical activity of the population in Lithuania. The team provided evaluation services for sports projects supported by state funds, aimed at promoting the physical activity of Lithuanian residents. They assessed more than 100 project applications submitted to the fund and provided recommendations for improving project applications and refining evaluation methodologies.
Development of Methods for Informal and Self-directed Learning Achievement Assessment and Recognition. The team, along with co-authors, prepared a methodology for assessing and recognizing competencies acquired informally in the field of recreation and tourism. Recognition of informal and self-directed learning is officially promoted throughout the European Union. The methodology they developed includes detailed assessment methods and a process for assessing a candidate’s learning achievements, supported by evidence. Based on this methodology, up to 50% of the credit hours of a recreation and tourism study program can be recognized. The assessment methodology was approved by the Senate of Klaipėda University.
